Stop at each corner of your woodland and tap Add point. Lotter draws the outline and gives you the area and perimeter. Then keep the species, every job done, the papers and photos, and the people who work the land with you, in one place.
The phone app for iPhone and Android is coming soon. Until then, draw or import your terrains on the website.

Map a terrain in one walk
1
Stop at each corner
Tap Add point. Lotter shows how accurate the GPS is, in metres. A weak reading is marked, so you can come back and retake it.
2
Tap Finish
Lotter closes the outline and measures it. Read the area in hectares, acres, or square metres.
3
Save it
Give the terrain a name and notes. It goes to your account when you have signal.
No time to walk it? Draw the boundary on the map, or over satellite photos, on the phone or the website. Drag any corner to fix it. Already have the files? Import them.
Everything about a terrain, in one place
Each terrain keeps its species, its planting year, and a work log. Log brush clearing, cutting, cork stripping, or your own kinds of work. Add the details you care about, such as the land registry number, and attach photos and PDF papers. Find any terrain by a word, or filter by what you added.

Know what is due before the season does
Tell Lotter how often each species needs each kind of work: cork stripping every 9 years, eucalyptus cutting every 12. It counts from the last entry in the work log and tells you which terrains are due, and in which year. Filter by Due for Cutting, see it on the dashboard, and get one email on the first of the month that lists them all.

One email a month, only when something is due. Turn it off any time.
Everyone who works the land sees the same land
Invite your family, your partners, or your workers by email. Each of them sees the same terrains on their own phone and logs the work they did, with their name on it. You pick what each person can do.
Owner
Pays for the plan, and can hand the role to someone else.
Admin
Adds, changes, and deletes terrains. Invites and removes people.
Worker
Sees every terrain, exports them, and logs their own work.
Inviting people is free, on every plan.
Ask your land a question
Ask in your own words, in any language. The Assistant answers from your own terrains, work logs, documents, and photos, and links to each terrain it used. Counts and due years come from the same rules as the app, not from a guess.
It can offer to log work or to change the details of a terrain. Nothing changes until you confirm.
Your data goes to Workers AI at Cloudflare only to make the answer. It is not kept there and not used for training. The Owner can turn the Assistant off for everyone.
Part of Unlimited. 300 questions a month, shared by everyone you invited.

Which terrains are due for cutting?
Two. Monte da Serra is due now, and Courela Nova is due in 2027.
Log brush clearing on both, done today.
Here is a suggestion for 2 work entries. Untick any you do not want, then confirm.

Works without signal
In the hills the map can go blank. Your corners, the outline, the area, and the perimeter still show. So do your terrains, their work logs, and search. Lotter sends your work to your account when you are back in range.

Your files, in and out
Already have your boundaries in a file? Import it. Each shape becomes a terrain, and each column in the file goes where you say: the name, the species, the planting year, or a detail you keep. Export any terrain in the same formats. Open it in QGIS or Google Earth, or send it to your forestry technician. On the phone, export works offline.

Private
Your terrains are seen only by the people you invited. There are no public links. To share a terrain, export a file and send it. Photos lose their GPS position before they are stored.

Questions
How accurate is phone GPS?
It depends on the phone and on the tree cover. Lotter shows the accuracy of every corner and marks the weak ones, so you can stand there again and retake them.
Is this an official survey?
No. Lotter is for your own records. For a legal boundary, ask a licensed surveyor.
Can my family or my workers use it with me?
Yes. Invite them by email and pick a role. They sign in with a code, see the same terrains on their own phone, and log work with their name on it. Inviting people is free.
Can I bring terrains from another app?
Yes. Import a GeoJSON, KML, KMZ, or zipped Shapefile. Each shape becomes a terrain, and you choose where each column in the file goes. Import never changes a terrain you already have.
What can the Assistant change by itself?
Nothing. It can offer to log work, or to change the name, notes, species, planting year, or details of a terrain, as a list you tick and confirm. It never deletes anything and never moves a boundary.
Where does the Assistant send my data?
To Workers AI at Cloudflare, which also hosts Lotter. The models read your question and the parts of your data the answer needs, then keep nothing. Your data is not used to train anything. The Owner can turn the Assistant off for everyone.
What if I edit a terrain on two phones without signal?
Lotter keeps both versions of the boundary and asks you which one to keep. Work log entries from both phones are all kept.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes. Sign in on the website to see, draw, import, edit, and export your terrains, and to ask the Assistant.
What happens if I stop paying?
If you stop paying, you keep every terrain. You can still view, edit, and export them, and your photos and documents stay. Only the Assistant stops.
